In 1992, The Bodyguard was the 10th highest-grossing film in movie history. That is how well it did. It had my grubby little fistful of pocket money notes to add to its coffers. I clearly remember queuing up to see the film and being desperately worried that they weren't going to let me in because I was actually 15 and I think it had a 16-age restriction when it came out. But shook, they let me in, and I remember crying my eyes out at the end of the movie. It wasn't just the film that did spectacularly well, the soundtrack performed.
