Flights around the country. And then the likes of, if you want to get to the camps, for instance, Mac Air and Grand Air, the likes of that, they charter companies, but you can get seat rates to get into the remote places. Okay. If you have the budget, I do suggest doing some flying, some flights around Zimbabwe. It is a massive country, but you can drive. The year before last, I went with my family and two other families. We flew into Arari. We hired four by four land cruisers with pop-up roofs.
And we did the back roads all the way around. Actually, my mission, which I think some of my friends were rolling their eyes at, but my mission was to do the back roads and keep off all the national roads of Zimbabwe. So we drove into Mana Pools. We went to Chitake Springs, which is unbelievable and wild. That's at the escarpment at the back of Amana Pools. We then drove on to Kariba, and most of the group actually got on houseboats that day. And then a couple of us guys.
We took the boats across on a ferry through to Matusa Donna, and we drove from one side of the park to the other that afternoon. We hooked up with the houseboat that had come across. After three nights on the houseboat, we also then stayed at Chizorera and then we drove around the back roads. So you've got to be quite adventurous around the back roads through to Chisorera. We spent a couple of days there walking, it was magic. And then onto Wangi National Park. We also camped there as well in Wangi National Park and then we.
Ended off at Nanch, which one of our lodges in the north of Wangi. And then we did Vic Falls and flew. So that was a three-week trip. It was magical. What a gift. Yeah. Yeah. It really was. Just for anybody who's come in midway to this conversation, my guest in studio, Garth Jenniman, the founder of Genmin African Safaris, which is a family-run tour operator, operates all over Africa. But we're talking specifically about the wonderful diversity that awaits visitors to Zimbabwe. Perhaps one of the undiscovered, under-discovered information.
