And yeah, what is happening at Lutuli House? You would think it's 2026. You would think that it has never been easier with the technological advances. We've got social media. We have got all manner of tools at our disposal. Registering for the elections seem to me, it seems to me like surely the easiest thing that has happened. What is your view? What's your insight about what?

Is happening with the African National Congress that they seemingly cannot get their house in order just to register very important regions in the Eastern Cape. Dr. Ralph? I mean, Dumizo, when you look at it on a first glance, it says the boss has been sleeping on the job, whoever the boss is. But when you take a deeper look, it points to the difficulty that the party is having in

In actually preparing the list that they want for candidates for these elections. I mean, it's not an easy job just to get the candidates at least out there, but for the party that has been doing this for years, repeatedly, you ask yourself what became an issue this time. And I think it points to what they were trying to do by maybe rapping.

Introducing some kind of a vetting system where, for the first time, it looks like they are asking very difficult questions about those candidates. They were trying, they've been saying that: look, we want people with certain qualifications, we want people who meet a minimum criteria, we want to enforce that. And because clearly they have not done that in the past, they have not enforced that kind of a criteria in the past. My view is that with such kind of rules, we can.

Having been adopted in the past and not being adhered to, and suddenly someone saying this time we're doing it, it results in internal resistance from within the party, where candidates will be pushing back. Some will be saying, you cannot impose people upon us, you cannot sideline those that we think are the right people to be candidates, and you then start saying that some of them don't have metric or don't have this qualification.

Have got these challenges of integrity. So I think this is what exactly caused the problem here, where the NC could just not get their candidates listed in order because of internal resistance. The whole thing about the technical glitch, in my view, is just to save face. I mean, they've known that the deadline is there. They've been doing this before. Some of the candidates will definitely have been incumbent, have been coming from, will be made.
