Cape Talk, Friday morning

Biro, have you ever committed in your broadcasting career ever time when I've just deleted the interview? Yes, particularly on a portable device, or in one case where I thought I'd done an entire interview with a football manager and left the ground and then discovered there were no batteries in the thing. So, in other words, it wasn't an interview. So, I had to call him up afterwards and say, you know, that interview we did? Can I do it again? Anyway, how's this though? An AI agent, as they

Call them, so a version of AI, essentially, an especially powerful version of artificial intelligence, independently of human beings managed to wipe out an entire TV show season. So, this is season two of a reality TV show in Sweden called The Challenge Sferiga, which is like MTV's The Challenge, only in Swedish. Set to air in about five weeks' time, but the production team let an AI agent loose on the server, I guess, to tidy up or mop up.

Or find something. Anyway, it deleted the entire edited show and everything else with no chance to recover the files. So sources have told the Swedish newspaper, the production company Mastiff, had been working on this for a year. So it's a year's worth of work from the multiple number of people. I don't know, though, Lester. It is that thing. I remember a classmate trying it with a teacher: my dog at my homework. You cannot get a dog to eat your homework or a budget.

To fly away with it, or a cat ran off with my exercise book. That stuff doesn't work, kids. But AI erased my homework. Now that would work, wouldn't it? I'm just putting the idea out there. Adam Gilchrist joins us again next Monday, live from London with the World View. Have you ever had some sort of cataclysmic failure? You deleted the entire year's finance report. You forgot to hit record with that all-important interview you had.
