SAfm, Wednesday night

The patrols and visiting the voting stations. We heard stories in the news about suspects who were arrested for allegedly trying to steal ballot papers in Torbo. Any other incidents like that one? Yeah, we had no, we did not have others who wanted to steal. Those ones were arrested and they did appear, they were released on bail of 1,500 grams. They are still going to appear. Others who were arrested for

Defacing or removing the posters that belonged to other political parties. And the one also was at the voting station after realizing that his party was not on the ballot paper. He destroyed that ballot paper, took photos. And of course, we did open a case against him. But I think in almost all cases that we opened, we are investigating.

I think one of the cases, a person who impersonated himself as a person or employee that is working in the presidency. And we are pursuing him. And of course, the case is still under investigation. And we're taking all these cases very seriously because what you want, we want to secure conviction and we want people to be convicted so that this can serve.

As a dictators. Okay, good news. And then now you're the same as the KwaZulu-Natal, your responsibility now goes to guarding those ballots, making sure that that's all safe and the counting process goes ahead cleanly. Yes, of course. I've already issued instructions to strengthen and to add more members to guard the warehouses and during the escorts we need to be ready because I've also noticed there's so much interest in stealing the bulk.

Boxes for whatever reason. They want to steal the bullet boxes. As if these bullet boxes were not stolen, they are going to be reused elsewhere. And I don't think it will be that that's the case. But I think what they wanted to do was to say the elections are not free and say, look, the bullet boxes were found here, damned, etc. But the police of the Eastern Cape are escorting those bullet boxes back to the warehouses and also in all our homes.

Our houses. We have strengthened the police officials that they target with more security than ever before, so that they don't want to lose those bullet boxes. Eastern Cape Police Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Voyasil Nkata, thank you very much for joining us. Thank you. Let's get talking. This is SAFM Nightfall. Nightfall on SAFM.
