702, Tuesday morning

Audiences have been cancelled for some time. A photographer, 41-year-old Tyron Capers from Somerset West, so he was packing up after a wedding at a camp about 115 kilometers from Ceres, a small town in the Western Cape, where he found between 50 and 100 bees in the bathroom. Listen to this, Amo. He tried to escape, but the bees swarmed over him, they got into his ears, his nose.

His mouth, and there was no one nearby to help. And all he could think of was to get back into the shower and try and use the water to wash them off. Eventually, of course, somebody did come around and they found him vomiting, shaking, dizzy, and struggling to breathe. Doctors among the wedding guests try to help to remove the stingers before he was taken to the local hospital. An estimated 500 stings were removed. Tyron has since recovered, but says he was lucky.

Not to be allergic to bee stings because he most certainly would have died. And that's why we're asking you this morning: do you have an uncommon allergy that you discovered later in life? I, for example, can't be around cats. I need to take antihistamines if I'm coming to your home, or I have incredibly frustrating hay fever. I know people who are allergic to things like panado. I mean, can you imagine trying to deal with post-operative pain and you can't take painkillers because?
