Power FM, Tuesday afternoon

To deal with, like crime, but that is for South Africans to deal with. We do need, for example, to review our legislation, our budgets, our policies. For that, it must be guided by South Africans through our institutions like Parliament, etc. And it must be based upon South Africa's interests. We can't allow another country to decide for us what to do. We're not a vassal territory of any country, just like we would not expect the US to do what we tell the US to do because the US is not our colony. So it must be based upon mutual.

Perspective is to be sustainable. The role that has been played by African Solidarity when they lobbied activities in the United States for contributing to this deterioration of diplomatic relations, do you think that also could have played some sort of a role in the message that they were sending to the US and the negotiations that they were having with the Trump administration? It has played a role. Obviously, not the key.

Determining factor. This is driven by US domestic politics. But they have played a role. We think they played a very unhelpful, very destructive role. We think they fueled fake news. They fueled, we believe they fueled conspiracies about white persecution, etc. And I can form Solidarity can deny it as much as they want. But the whole world has been watching them going off to the US for the past 10 years, instigating all sorts of wild conspiracy theories.

are just simply not based upon reality about life in South Africa. They've undermined the South African democratically elected government. They've not helped. And they now need to own this. This is the property of their struggles. So if we exit a go in January, they must go to farmers in the Western Cape, white Afrikaans farmers, and explain to them why they lost it on their contracts with the US because of new tariffs. When we see jobs being lost in manufacturing companies in Cape Town and the Eastern Cape, et cetera,

They again should go to those white members, many of whom are members of Solidarity, by the way, like in Turbach. And African Foreign Solidarity must go and own this and go to these white workers, white farmers, and explain to them why they will no longer be able to take care of the family. So African Foreign Solidarity should be proud. They have actually done irreparable damage to South Africa's social fabric, and they've actually become a threat to the livelihood of white South Africans. Should South Africa try and renegotiate this deal? Or is it a question of then saying it's done?
