Say that media houses ran with a story that they didn't verify. And that is the story of the man who was purported to have been killed by the mob on the 21st of October. Yes. The Ugandan man. Right? And I see there's been all sorts of apologies by people who are in influential positions saying,

We got it wrong. You didn't get it wrong. Here's the deception. A man is unfortunately and brutally and wrongly attacked by a mob on the 21st of October. Right? Yeah. It is believed that he was killed and media.

Media platforms run with the idea that, oh, here's this guy. He was beaten and he was killed by this mob. Yes. Right? It's later discovered that no, no, no, that guy didn't die. He's recuperating from his illness, I mean, from his injuries at Eddington Hospital. He's using the pseudonym Simon. Right? So.

So the media reports that said that the man was killed were wrong. Yes. On the 22nd of October, another man is accosted and killed by a mob. But he is killed. The police only discover this or mention this last week, Thursday. It does not mean.

That the media running with the story that the first man was attacked and killed is corrected just because the second man was attacked and killed. Because the first man was attacked was not killed. But the report said he was killed. That's what we should be apologizing for as the media. And I'm putting up my hand as well because I also said that that man had been killed by the mob.

But we were wrong. We were wrong. That man, the first man, was not killed by that mob. He was beaten ruthlessly so, and that thing should be condemned. But it was wrong reporting. True. Because we didn't check whether or not that man was, in fact, killed. We ran with the story that said, no, that man was killed. Without checking the facts. Without checking the facts. Yes, there was a man who was killed later.
