Cape Talk, Sunday night

30, but it's not 60. So get that hot air out as quickly as you can. Then you close the windows and let the air do its work. Okay, Nicole, let's chat about safer cars for Africa. Yeah, one exciting project that I've been involved in the sense that I witnessed the very first crash test in Germany in 2017, and I was invited back to witness another test. And this one is a controversial test of the Dioto Starlets.

Star car that was retested with six airbags. And I just came back from the event now where it was embargoed up to today. Well, what new star rating the new starlet with the six airbags would get, and we can talk about it. But just in general, the safer cars for Africa was started by Global NCAP together with the AA, the South African Association, Automobile Association. And the reason for that is, unfortunately, the emerging markets, or I don't want to say

Third world, it sounds so negative. The cars that we get here aren't the same cars that get sold in Europe. They might have the same name, they might look the same, but they have found that some of these cars, the safety spec, are packed out for the, let's call it in emerging markets to save cost. So, a car that might in Europe have six airbags will only have one or two here, and it goes deeper than that. Body shelves, the body and white structure, they might use more high-strength steel with a European model than African.

Or Indian or Latin America vehicle. So the only way to know is to test. So what they do is they buy cars in South Africa. It's an independent test. They fly them over. They crash test them in Germany and then they check the star rating of it. And that's been done since 2017. They've tested 24 cars. I don't know if you remember there was a big uproar when the Nissan NP300 Baki scored a zero star. It's a terrible car in a crash. And then in the beginning of the day,
