Take their choice of multiple incentives around the world and they go for the ones that match, that also have crews and locations. But also, for local filmmakers and people that do international co-production of kind of local work, it means that they can go to local investors and say, well, we've got 30% of the finance raised, and then we add maybe money from the National Film Video Foundation or from MultiChoice, and you can begin to start to finance productions. So that's really what the incentives are for.

They ran effectively, and we had a very competitive rebate from about its start, I think it was 2003-2004, until about 2019 when the wheels just fell off and, to be honest, haven't been put back on in any shape or form. Has there been any explanation? I mean, is there actually money that's been allocated that is available to be spent? So, what actually happened was that there was an ideological move in 2019, probably.

You know, pretty justified within officials. So, officials have the capacity to change the guidelines to ensure that there were more benefits to black filmmakers and to the black film TV crew and industry, which they did, and they did that by changing the guidelines to a certain extent. But within zealous officials, they wanted to actually break up white companies as well. That's my view. And so, there were 20 repudiations which are.

To about 500 to 700 million rand, about 20 different projects from about 10 companies. And what that does is because those monies, which amounted, you know, it's a huge amount of money, 500 to 600 million, of that, we had 57 million owed to us for two years. So what happens is that internationally, all the financiers, it's a very small community globally. So they all get to know: okay, well, we're not going to go to South Africa, we'll go to Spain because.

Africa not paying. And so that then had a knock-on effect on people actually wanting to come and shoot here, which coincided with a shrinking in general production globally, which has hit our market and therefore the work for crew, etc., very hard. So, yeah. So, okay, I realize that the DTIC is their money effectively. They can do what they want with it within sort of.
