I'm ready to make my election predictions!

Picture. So, what do we have here? When you take all the polls, you put them in the SMWX pot and you stir them around, these are my predictions. Nationally, of course, this isn't a national election, but we do get an interesting gauge on where the nation is as everyone in the country is voting locally. I am of the belief that the ANC will get 32%.

Of the overall votes, 32. That is a monumental fall. That is a monumental slide. Cyril Ramaphosa inherited the ANC sitting at 62%. That share by the end of this election may have halved to 32, just above 31. The DA I have sitting at 25%. And they were in and around 21% after.

The last local government elections. This is a slight increase, but it still shows the DA cannot break through those 20s. But they'll be relatively satisfied with that number. And I've got them as the second biggest party in South Africa, hot on the heels of the ANC, just about 7% behind them. Then shocker, but I've got ANC MKP in third.

Place just like they were in 2024. This may surprise some people, but the polls are the polls and they say what they say. I've got the MK sitting at 13.5% in this. I'm going to go 13%. I'm going to go 13. So 13 for the MK. That would only be one percentage point below where they got in 2024, which I think would surprise people given the internal eruptions in the MK. But they're clearly very strong in KZN, as you've seen.
