702, Wednesday night

You can never get enough of a good thing. 702 replay. Well, let's turn to this matter now. The former chief operating officer of the company, Bussasa Angelo Agrisi, has been ordered to pay the state more than 1.66 billion rand. This after the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria found that he had benefited from his company's corruption network, something that was laid.

Bear in huge detail. Firstly, at the Zondo Commission of Inquiry, Mr. Grisi himself providing many of the details of what had gone on. Some people are saying, though, well, two questions are being asked, I suppose. The one is: shouldn't other people also have to pay some money? Grisi held a senior position, but he wasn't the only person in Busasa who did wrong and may well have benefited from the wrongdoing. And secondly, of course, you know.

It's all very well to say you owe us 1.66 billion rand, but what happens if you don't have it? Kaiser Khanyako is spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority. They have welcomed this ruling by the court and to explain why. We're joined now by Mr. Khan Yako. Welcome to the show. Thanks very much for giving us your time. The first question that I set out, I mean, Mr. Agrizzi very clearly involved in

This criminality and stealing from the public purse is now a matter of judicial record. But there were surely other people. I mean, is this something inherently unfair? I mean, shouldn't some of the money come from some of the others? Thank you very much, John, and to your listeners. Yes, you must remember that we are dealing with this matter separately from the others. Okay. When this matter was brought, they were all joined together. And because of Mr. Grease's

Errol, we then separated the matter and he entered into the plea settlement agreement alone. Therefore, the matter for the others is still going continuing and it will be dealt with accordingly when the time comes. Okay, so in terms then of you know, judges can say, okay, well, you owe us almost 1.7 billion rand. Is this to a degree symbolic or are you expecting to get some money at least? I'm sure nobody.

Is expecting the full amount to be paid because that money would never have gone to Mr. Greetsi personally. It is not symbolic. It is the money that we want to recover from him. But as you must read from the order, therefore, in a case where obviously we can't get the money, but there are properties, because one of the things that made the judges to agree with us, among others, is the fact that he was not honest about his properties, especially the ones.

Overseas. Therefore, we'll have to look into that process. But if it comes to a point where we realize that we cannot get the whole amount, we have to then go back to the cost to vary that order so that we are able to then get a lesser amount if that is the case. But at the end, for now, this is the money that we want. We've calculated it meticulously. As you might see, it even goes to the center of the benefits that they have benefited on. And just to be very clear,
