Power FM, Friday morning

Working and collaborating with South African water polo. I think the fundamental problem here is the water polo grouping itself subjecting themselves to authority. And I think it is that authority that comes across they hate so much. And look, our hands are tied. I mean, we are guided by the Sport and Recreation Act. We are guided by the statutes and SSS founded in the

In the SASCO constitution, including our own constitution assuming South Africa. But be as it may, TT, you know, we were never prepared to come on public platform and be seen to be debating the issues in public with South Africa and with Apollo. You are the very first interview that I'm doing ever since assuming the position of acting president in the last two months. And I mean, and it pains me, you know, that I've got to be coming across as if I'm

I'm slightly speaking against what needs to be our affiliate. And that should not be the case. All that we are asking is a little bit of restraint from the South African water polo because the litany of attacks, social media and so forth, that they have been trying to damage the reputation and the good name of swimming South Africa. Because we know from a swimming point of view, and if you take water polo out of the equation, this is

One of two only sporting federations that brings a whole lot into the country whenever we are participating at the international arena. Not waterpolar, though. Not waterpolar. Exactly. Yeah, yeah, exactly. And I think that it is that developmental process that we need to go through. And in tandem and in support of them, and clearly in this instance.

There is no ambition whatsoever from Swimming South Africa to control the administration of Waterpolo. There are various models in these MOUs that Robbie spoke about, and it is the detail in that model which I want to believe that maybe there's some form of dissenting views, and those can be discussed to find an amicable agreement. Okay, we're almost out of time. I just want to end on this one. So, as you've said, they have now.
