The Democratic Alliance's Johannesburg mayoral candidate Helen Zille has urged all registered voters not to make excuses for staying away from the polls. Zille was speaking at their party's final election rally in Mamelodi this morning. South Africans will head to the polls next Wednesday, while those approved for special votes are expected to cast their ballots on Monday and Tuesday. Zille has urged even those frustrated by ongoing service delivery failures to turn out and vote for change. You have every reason.

To be angry. But listen carefully, Mamelaningoku. If you stay at home on election day, you won't be punishing the Amasela. You will be rewarding them. You will be giving them another five years to loot. And Joba cannot afford another five years of failure. It'll be too late then.
