Several people asking the same question around the timeline and when we should be seeing final results and what happens thereafter. Look at Sue and others who are asking this. The IEC did say this morning that they hope to declare final results by the weekend. They have technically seven days, they have got to gazette.

The results within seven days of voting, but it sounds like they are fully intending to do so quite substantially before then. And then to Liam asking how long do the councils have to finalize coalition agreements after that? The answer is 14 days from the gazetting. And it is only 14 days. There is a new coalition bill, of course, which is seeking to try and extend that to 30 days going forward, but that is not in play yet. So seven days to gazette the results from the day of voting, and then another 14.

14 days thereafter for the councils to meet and put together the coalitions that will then run the municipalities. And of course, it looks like there are going to be plenty of those, judging by what we're seeing. There's still a long way to go in terms of votes that have been captured. Nothing can be declared final until after 5 p.m. on Friday tomorrow, because that's the deadline for parties to lodge objections if they saw something happening at a voting station which they believe has the potential to substantially change the outcome of the results from that.
