947, Tuesday morning

Doubling up the music, Anne Marie with Little Mix, kiss my oh oh before that now, Horan, what a good song tastes so good on 947. Someone slid into my DMs and I feel like there's a there's an urgency to this. So we're gonna have to solve this quickly for her. Her name has been changed.

Because it's quite a sensitive issue. This is a sensitive issue. Although she didn't ask me to change her name when she wrote this, just by the way, but gay. Yo, we've decided it's sensitive enough to change your name. We liked you guys employed. Right. Okay, it says, hi, Annelia. I've been listening to the show for years and I really need some advice. Here goes. I'm a junior accountant at a company in Sandton. Four months ago, my manager added me to the leadership team's WhatsApp group by mistake. I never said a word. I just read about parking bay fights, someone stealing the Willies' muffins from the boardroom, and a two

Week war over whether we should replace the recoffee with a coffee machine. Then, on Tuesday, I'm supposed this last Tuesday. Right. Okay, then on Tuesday night, the CFO posted next year's budget. I opened it and saw Row 47 has been counted twice. That's a 1.2 million rand mistake. Six managers replied, all saying looks good. I typed a message, I deleted it. I typed it again, then I hit send, and all I said is row 47 is.

Double counted. The group went completely silent. 30 seconds later, my manager called me. I'm scared to tell you guys what happened next, but before I tell you what happened, you guys tell me: did I do the right thing? Yo. Because obviously, you've been silently sitting there. Does she say how long? Must be months. Yes, I'll tell you four months ago. All right, so she's been silently sitting on the managerial group. She saved the company 1.2 million. What is it?

She shouldn't have said. What? Would you let your company make a mistake for 1.2 million? So my mother's company. Someone would have caught that, surely. Six managers said it looks good. Yes, but you're not supposed to be on the group. And now the challenge is: great, you've saved us this money, but what else were you reading on the group? And what did you do with said information in the time that you were on this group? Not reporting that you're here, basically eavesdropping, spying on management.

None of it mattered. I've saved you 1.2 million. 0118838947. Is that the number? There's just so many numbers flying around. 1.247. What would you have done? Has this happened to you before? And now Veronica is in a pickle. Oh, no. You see, I wouldn't even be in a pickle because as soon as I got added to a group that just had managers on it, I'd be like, guys, I'm out. I don't need another WhatsApp group in my life. I don't need to be part of more communication. And I definitely don't want to be in management. Thanks, cheers.

I certainly don't think that she should be given any warnings or any disciplinary whatever, especially since she has just saved the company 1.2 million. Look, it's not her fault she got added to the school. 100%. Exactly. Frankie, you were saying you would message who? You wouldn't message or on the group. No, I think that's where she made a pivotal mistake. Like if you're saying on the group in front of everyone, because now also six managers have said looks good. Right? So now you've embarrassed all of them. Everyone's a fool there.
