Reactions to shocking 2026 election results

Business in order, he'll have to come in. I want to know what was your reaction to that message from the finance minister. Well, I've been saying for a long time, because I've been studying Joburg's finances, as you can imagine, very hard. We might well have to ask the finance minister for a bailout. Joburg is that bankrupt and that broke. If it's in that type of a position, where do you even start your recovery efforts? Say the arrangements.

The arrangements go well here, and we're talking to the mayor of the city of Johannesburg, Helen Zille, in a few weeks to a month. Where does the conversation start around where we fix Joburg, reforming the civil service within the city, if you want to change that out? Well, there are lots of things we have to fix. First of all, we have to end corruption. Secondly, we have to fix the billing system. Thirdly, we have to ring-fence money for essential services: water, electricity, roads, etc. And we're going to have.

To start taking some very, very tough decisions, and it would be good to have the National Minister of Finance on our side and the presidency. Perfect. Now, I want to just change gears a little bit and talk about the campaign because you made a splash. I'll be honest, as someone who works in media, I love watching your campaign because it is entertaining. There was a lot to see, there was a lot to pay attention to. And also, there seemed to be hints of a progression in the way politics could be done in South Africa beyond just the very standard: you come, you talk to us, but you.
