Representation candidate contesting the local government elections in the Dr. AB Xuma municipality has been arrested for allegedly attempting to steal election material from the Nobo police station. Provincial electoral officer Kayakazi Makudumana says two women arrived at the police station claiming they had been sent by presiding officers to collect IEC documents. Second suspect. On the verification of the information, the two presiding officers who were supposed to collect the material didn't know anything about that arrangement. The two people were then chased away from the site, but they did attempt to steal. There's no other word for it. They were attempting to steal the two boxes. It's two ladies, and one of them is a PR candidate in this election. And the lady is currently in the police station. She has been arrested.

And the other one, they are still looking for her. City of Tshwane Mayor Nasiphi Moya has urged residents of Bronkhorstspruit east of Pretoria to not use water from their tabs. Last month, over 800 cases of gastrointestinal illness were reported following the metro's failure to treat water from the Bronkhorstspruit water treatment plant with chlorine. Briefing the media on the progress made in fixing the treatment plant, Moya emphasized that the water has not been declared safe for consumption.
