702, Monday evening

The big hack of Binance. Remember, $6.6 billion, $6.3 billion hacked through one laptop in 20 minutes or so. Binance today saying it had made good 95% of that amount. The rest were held in tokens that are less traded, therefore harder to get. I mean, it has an astounding amount of money if it's able to make good that amount. But it also means that the people who stole it, and American media suggests North Korea, have been able to keep it. So, I mean, that's just exceptional. Hot on the heels of that.

A story on Bloomberg tonight. Supermarkets across Europe hit by suspected cyber attacks, not in the cash register, not in the security systems, not in their finances, in their freezers. Now, you might think, okay, so what are you going to do? You know, well, the problem is that in a cold chain environment where the temperature of every single foodstuff in the cold chain has to be monitored minute by minute or second by second, I presume in some cases, you are no longer able to provide.

That chain of custody, which means you have to chuck it out. So, what it is in the end, as always, with these hacks, it's about money. Why someone would do it, I don't know. But it does seem that the Spa Group, Carofo SA, other groups across Belgium, Sweden, Ireland, Finland, Estonia, all of them are being affected by this. You heard what Viv Govinda said: that once you have a cyber security company being hacked in terms of hugging face earlier in the year.

This is just going to become common. And isn't that an exciting future to look forward to? Hacking brought to you by AI. 20 minutes to 7. EWN Sport for the Springboks, brought to you by Tycho. A little help from his mate Russi. Tyto, good evening. Indeed, Steve Ovo. In fact, right now, Coach Rassie Erasmus live announcing that team that will be facing Italy come Saturday in the opener of the Nations Championship. And I have to be honest with you, the Springboks.
