City Power will restore electricity to the remaining affected customers in Pimville Station 9 and Cliptown by the evening of 2 October 2026.

“And yeah, I think we should be finishing with the remaining customers. The team, when they are done this evening, we should be able to switch on electricity.”

The verdict· graded 03 Oct

City Power withdrew its technical teams in Kliptown and said electricity restoration would be delayed until they could safely return.

The dated evidence from 2026-10-02 says restoration was delayed and the teams were withdrawn, which conflicts with the claim that electricity would be restored by the evening of 2 October 2026. The passages do not support completion by that deadline.
