A three-plane flyover will take place at FNB Stadium during the South Africa-New Zealand rugby test on 2026-09-05.

“And I promise you, three-plane flyover at the FNB.”

The verdict· graded 03 Sept

No three-plane flyover occurred at FNB Stadium for the South Africa–New Zealand Test on 5 September 2026; the planned flyover was withdrawn before the match.

The claim was that the flyover would take place during the 2026-09-05 test, but the research notes explicitly say it did not happen. The divergence is decisive: the event was cancelled/withdrawn, so the predicted outcome never occurred.
