eDreams customers said discounted flight bookings triggered Prime subscriptions costing roughly R229–R299 monthly, often for 12 months, without clear disclosure; the company had not answered detailed questions.

Consumer specialist Wendy Knowler advised affected customers to challenge banks for proof of a subscription mandate, request chargebacks, and report complaints to the National Consumer Commission.
