Tshwane mayor Nasiphi Moya has accepted negligence after unchlorinated water from the Bronkhorstspruit plant made hundreds ill, mostly children under four. Chlorine ran out after a supplier raised prices, the city says.

The SANDF has halted Project Khala, its Cuba military cooperation project, after the Auditor General flagged about R279 million in irregular expenditure. Its predecessor, Project Tusano, cost about R3 billion.
