Gauteng MEC Vuyiswa Ramokgopa said less than 5% of South Africa’s credit reaches small businesses, calling for procurement, industrial policy and transformation measures to build scalable black enterprises.

Ramokgopa outlined Gauteng’s 12 priority sectors, targeting 3–5% growth and 500,000 jobs over three to five years through agro-processing, technology, green industries, textiles and creative work.
