Police formed a multidisciplinary task team after four women’s bodies were found in Rhodesfield, Kempton Park, investigating concerning similarities while warning women against walking or running alone.

Indlulamithi’s barometer found 72% of 215 indicators pointed to economic stagnation, while 20% reflected worsening “vulture culture” and 8% offered signs of collaborative progress.

Dr Judy Dlamini said South Africa’s biggest challenge is a “what’s in it for me” mindset, calling for citizens to become agents of change and take responsibility for the country’s future.

Dlamini encouraged people to pivot through education, side hustles and deliberate preparation, saying reinvention means carrying past lessons forward while having the courage to build differently.
