Impeachment committee accepted legal advice that President Cyril Ramaphosa can be called, subpoenaed if he refuses, and potentially lose the right to remain silent under the 2004 Act.

Advocate Tandazani Madonsela was recommended as evidence leader for the impeachment committee after a 9-7 vote; the ANC, PA and Al Jama-ah abstained, and the decision now goes to Parliament.

At the Madlanga Commission, Advocate Ram Sami said she was told to gather information on Cedric Nkabinde without a formal investigation, including alleged money, a car and cellphone links to James Romanjulu.
