Andrea Johnson resigns as IDAC head with immediate effect
Every major talk station led with the fall of investigating directorate against corruption head Andrea Johnson, who asked President Ramaphosa to release her with immediate effect after damaging testimony at the Madlanga Commission. 702, SAfm, Cape Talk, Power FM and The Corder Report all traced the same arc: Johnson conceded IDAC had arrested crime intelligence figure Dineo Mogwelli without evidence, faced a misconduct complaint from Brigadier Moquele, and cited reputational damage to IDAC and the NPA in her letter. Justice Minister Kubayi and NDPP Mothibi backed the release; questions now hang over every prosecution built on her authorisations.
