Quantum's morning centred on municipal accountability ahead of the 4 November local elections, with a community leader on holding councillors to account, plus a hunger campaign and a fatherhood series.
- 03:43
Community leader Simpiwe Mavuso cited Auditor-General figures showing only 39 of 257 municipalities received clean audits for the 2024-2025 financial year.
- 04:44
Meals on Wheels runs 811 feeding points across 181 towns, and the Help End Hunger campaign with Arena Holdings is recruiting corporates and communities to widen that reach.
- 03:54
Before blaming a councillor, Mavuso said residents should check whether a budget was released, since delayed projects may be outside the councillor's control.
- 04:00
Mavuso's closing call: vote for delivery and accountability, hold councillors to account after the elections, and let local businesses partner with communities on youth employment.
