NPA withdrew fraud and corruption charges against Crime Intelligence head Dumisani Mogoile and five others in Pretoria, after evidence from the Madlanga Commission appeared to weaken the state’s case.

Fadiel Adams told the Madlanga Commission he submitted only one Section 27 affidavit, said it referred to the PKTT and forklift irregularities, and alleged the document may have been altered.

Adams accepted his signature on several A1 affidavits but said the date was added later and that he signed in his car on 6 January 2025 after a rushed handover.

The commission pressed Adams on whether he helped bolster weak cases and he said he was willing to comply to get the matters to court, later saying he would lay charges against IDAC.
