Fidel Adams’ Madlanga Commission testimony dominated the hour, with sharp questioning over his complaints to the police minister and the subsequent IDAC referral; Parliament also set a vote of no confidence in the Speaker for next Wednesday.
- 12:42
Fidel Adams told the commission he first complained to Police Minister Senzo Mchunu on 1 November after alleging his dockets were irregularly removed, asking for help outside SAPS.
- 12:15
The commission pressed Adams on whether he really expected an independent body from the start, saying his emails showed he later asked the minister for an independent investigator or body.
- 12:36
Adams said the minister’s office copied him into the referral to IDAC, and he then phoned the office himself; IDAC told him to wait for their call back before they contacted him.
- 12:54
He later met IDAC officials, including Chief Inspector Perumal, handed over his Section 27 referral affidavit and said it covered the PKTT, promotions and alleged misuse of crime intelligence money.

Parliament confirmed the National Assembly will debate the EFF’s motion of no confidence in Speaker Thoko Didiza next Wednesday after her handling of the Phala Phala impeachment-related court bid.
