The Aubrey Masango Show

Friday, 30 October 2026

Aubrey Masango's Friday show was dominated by the March and March court interdict, which he argued would create martyrs, alongside fuel-price talk with the AA's Bobby Ramaguede and a Limpopo eye-care clinic.

1. 21:11

Masango argues the court interdict against March and March and the army deployment will only create martyrs, urging government to sit down and talk with protest organisers instead.

2. 21:04

The provisional court order bars March and March protesters from carrying weapons or concealing their faces, and imposes strict crowd-control conditions on its leaders.

3. 21:51

AA CEO Bobby Ramaguede says South Africa sold its strategic oil reserves in 2015-16, leaving no refining capacity and leaving the country exposed to global price shocks.

4. 21:58

Ramaguede warns that converting every petrol and diesel car to electric would collapse the grid at the first charge, because transmission, not generation, is South Africa's core weakness.

5. 22:25

The University of Johannesburg and the South African Muslim Charitable Trust funded a R2.5 million mobile optometry clinic that can make prescription spectacles on site, first taken to a Limpopo village.
